Tuvalu Football Association

The Tuvalu Islands FA

Organised association football on the islands is overseen by the Tuvalu Islands Football Association. Funded in 1979, it also administrates the Tuvalu national football team.

The Tuvalu FA became a CONIFA member in 2016 marking another milestone to improve the development of football in Tuvalu with the ultimate goal of becoming a FIFA member in the not so distant future.

History was made in 2017 when Tuvalu defeated New Caledonia for the first time and also defeated Tonga in the same tournament, with both teams being FIFA members. Winning two games in a tournament is a feat that has never been achieved before. A feat that Tuvalu want to repeat when they take on the likes of Székely Land, Padania, and Matabeleland in the forthcoming CONIFA World Football Cup in London.
