Barawa Football Association
The hosting association of the 2018 edition of the CONIFA World Football Cup was established in 2015 with a mission to promote Barawanese culture as well as football in the south region of Somalia. They joined CONIFA in 2016 and a year later were awarded the 2018 World Football Cup. Though the city of Barawa is located in southern Somalia, since the Barawa Football Association is administered by members of the Somali diaspora living in the UK, London was selected as the host city of the tournament.
